Hovercraft Specifications

Choosing the right hovercraft to suit your requirements takes a little time to ensure that you get the right craft to suit your particular application. We do not like to assume that you are an expert or first time purchaser, so provide a checklist to help you choose the best model and options to suit your particular requirements.

We recommend electric start, gauge panel and thicker skirt option (lasts longer, so more cost effective). There are many other options available but not all options are necessary, it depends on your circumstances.

We offer a choice of 2 stroke or 4 stroke turbo charged engines. Too much choice can be overwhelming at times, so be sure to ask us and other suppliers important questions to ensure you get the best hovercraft to suit your needs.

Ask us the following:

  • What engine should I choose?
  • What is best, one engine or two?
  • How easy are they to drive?
  • What weight can be carried, on land and on water?
  • Can I stop on water without fear of water ingression and sinking?
  • What safety aspects should I consider? Front guard, rear guard, anti-plough skirt system etc?
  • What warranty is available?
  • Is training available?
  • Are there a choice of colours?
  • Is this hovercraft constructed from thin fibre glass or HDPE?
  • Is trim factory set, or do I need to manually control trim?
  • How often will this hovercraft plough into the water?

We cover all these points in our FAQ document and Hovercraft Buyers Guide, so be sure to ask us for a free copy and quotation. See http://www.buyhovercrafts.com/
